Career Unawareness Among Females: Major Drawback for Growth of Pakistan
I want to start this blog from an important quote about the importance of female education.
If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation.
People say that in Pakistan females are going to schools, colleges, and universities. They claim this to be “The Success” of Pakistan.
Is it really a success?
Yeah, I agree with this statement as well but why Pakistan is still behind if we are educating our females?
Think for a moment…
You guessed it right. Our society, families, and friends have control over females career choices. That’s why our females are not worried about their careers. When you don’t have to make any choice by yourself then why worry about it?
Am I right?
Let us have our problem statement to further discuss the case.
Provide career awareness platform for females at the intermediate level because it is hindering the growth of Pakistan for the past 74 years
51% of Pakistan's population is female and we don’t have a mechanism to allow the majority for playing part in the growth of Pakistan. The career choice of more than 80% of females is based on the interests of parents, friends, and society but they neglect interest or they even don’t bother to think about what will be good for them.
You will say that we all know about it. Now what!
Take the example of a self-aware and career-oriented female. What benefit can we get from her?
Let’s count a few:
1. She will remarkably perform well in studies
2. She will definitely look for ways to apply what she learned by getting a job or starting a new business in that field
3. After marriage, she will let her children dream big and achieve big. This will break the chains and parents will be well aware of the future needs. They will be able to properly guide and allow their child to go for interest rather than their own wish.
4. Each and every house will have at least one child who wants to make his/her mark. It will give “why” to every child in Pakistan and it will drive us to Quid-e-Azam ka Pakistan.
If you want to read more about why career counselling is really important please do read the article that I wrote some time ago.
If you want Pakistan to be Pakistan of Quid-e-Azam, you have to urge your majority population to play a role in the country’s progress rather than wasting time in useless activities.
